Every Merbau piece at Oriental Allure Design begins with a consultation at our Masai factory or via WhatsApp. We discuss your dimensions, design preferences, finish type, and intended use — indoor or outdoor. Our sourcing team selects the appropriate grade of Merbau: FAS (First and Seconds) for fine furniture, and Select or Common grades for structural decking where knots are acceptable.

Once timber is selected, our craftsmen mill, dry, and acclimatise the wood to Johor’s ambient humidity before fabrication begins. All joinery uses mortise-and-tenon or dowel construction with waterproof PU adhesive for outdoor pieces. After assembly, we apply your chosen finish — teak oil, exterior varnish, or Danish oil — and conduct a quality inspection before delivery to your Johor Bahru address or installation at site.
