- Outdoor Dining Chair: A solid hardwood armchair or side chair for waterfront dining — weather-resistant enough to live outdoors permanently, beautiful enough to create the premium ambiance that waterfront F&B requires. Our waterfront dining chairs use a slatted back and solid seat for drainage, Merbau or Chengal construction, stainless hardware, and 4-coat UV-resistant oil finish. Stackable versions available for operations that need to clear the deck for cleaning or storage.

Chengal is specified for locations within 500 m of the open sea (Johor Strait facing, coastal resort positions) where salt aerosol significantly accelerates moisture and fungal attack — only Class 1 species are appropriate for these coastal locations. All waterfront furniture receives 4 coats of UV-resistant exterior oil — double the residential standard — given the extended daily UV exposure of a restaurant that operates from morning until late evening.
Our Supply Process
- Restaurant Visit: We visit the waterfront dining location, assess the deck configuration, measure table positions, understand the owner’s design brief and target customer, and discuss species, finish, and budget.
- Sample & Quote: Design options are provided with indicative unit pricing. A physical sample chair is available for restaurants ordering 20 or more chairs.
- Production: Fabrication in our Masai workshop. All pieces from the same order finished in one session for colour consistency.
- Delivery: Delivery and positioning at the restaurant. We can deliver and install outside service hours (early morning before breakfast service, or after the evening service) to minimise disruption to operations.
Care & Maintenance
Waterfront F&B furniture should be wiped down with fresh water after each service (removing salt aerosol and food residue) and given a thorough clean with mild detergent weekly. Apply teak oil every 6 months — the high UV environment of a waterfront dining deck makes this twice-yearly schedule important. Stack furniture in a dry store area during extended closure periods (renovation, public holidays). Inspect all hardware annually and replace any corroded components immediately.

Exact matching is achievable for our own previous supply; approximate matching to third-party furniture is achievable in design and species but colour matching depends on the original finish system used.
